Analyse, assess and attack security
We attack, analyse and assess the security of high-security products that are
not on the marker yet. Smart cards and Integrated Circuits are the key stone
element in secure environments, whether it is for payment, identification or
access control. We see the cards from all major manufacturers throughout the
world. They show us their security design in every detail. In a team of
experts we assess whether there are any vulnerabilities. We look for
side-channels, protocol flaws, tamper weaknesses with our state-of-the-art
equipment for e.g laser manipulation or (wireless) DPA. In a couple of month
we learn everything about such a product, and if we do not understand it we
visit the manufacturer so that their engineers can explain it. An evaluation
team typically consists of experts from a broad range of disciplines, so that
we can look at the design and the cards from different angles.
With these evaluation teams we also attack, analyse and assess other products, such as payment terminals, Host Security Modules, In-car systems and smart meters. Our results are input for approval by e.g. MasterCard, Visa and governments. As one of the largest security evaluation labs in the world our team of international oriented people can work together with customers from all around the world.
