(Junior) Security Evaluator of payment terminals and other embedded systems

What and how to hack?

Security of payment terminals as you use in shops are thoroughly examined by
Brightsight experts. And also switches / routers, USB sticks, taxi computers,
Host Security Modules (HSM), smart meters and car equipment. We try the
latest hacking techniques on these devices. To apply these clever hacking
techniques a small team of specialists examines the security design to
discover the weakest spots. Subsequently penetration tests are performed to
check the underlying question "are the flaws really so weak that security can
be circumvented".

Brightsight is currently looking for people - with an IT background - who can
design and apply these penetration tests to the security of this equipment.
You work in a team of colleagues witn eg an electrical, chemical or
mathematical background. Regularly you go to a customer to get information
from the designers. Eventually the customers wants to get a security
certificate, with which they can demonstrate that their equipment meets the
requirements to parties such as MasterCard, Visa or governments. At the end
of a project it is not the question "is the equipment secure?" but the
question is "is it secure enough? ".

Brightsight

With approximately 50 people Brightsight analyzes and tests the security of a
wide range of equipment. Colleagues have a background in telecommunication,
IT, electronics, physics, mathematics and chemistry. We often walk into each
others offices to share ideas. On occasion colleagues spend a few days with
customers. You find our clients around the globe and they are among the best
in their field. Our contact persons at the customers usually have a technical
background, which makes it easy to discuss with them.

What do you bring?

We are looking for someone with a technical background (BsC, MsC, PhD) who can
do what we described above. We think of people with for example CENT, CCNA,
CISSP, CEH, CISA, PCI-DSS or embedded security background.
