Delft, 7th of January 2020: Brightsight congratulates MYPINPAD with the obtained iOS PCI SPoC approval for their 'MPP mPOS’ PIN on Mobile solution. Brightsight is proud to have performed the software-based PCI SPoC security evaluation of this innovative payment solution.It is the very first PCI SPoC approval issued for MYPINPAD with more to follow.
The PCI program 'Software-based PIN Entry on COTS' (SPoC), also known in the market as PIN on Mobile, enables merchants to accept true EMV-based transactions, both contact and contactless, with the option of PIN entry on COTS (Commercial off-the-shelf) devices, such as smartphones and tablets. The PCI SPoC evaluation for MYPINPAD was completed for an iOS based payment solution. The Android evaluation is currently in an advanced stage and its certification will follow in the beginning of 2020.
