Delft, 30 October 2020. Brightsight has recently decided to voluntarily give up its Common Criteria (CC) accreditation under the German scheme BSI. Brightsight still offers security evaluations based on CC requirements under internationally recognised CC certification bodies in the Netherlands (NSCIB), Spain (CCN), Norway (SERTIT), Singapore (CSA) and Turkey (TSE).

Common Criteria (ISO/IEC 15408) is the most widely recognised and comprehensive IT security standard in the world, and can be used to certify any IT system or device providing security functions. More than 25 countries participate in the mutual recognition of CC certification. Some countries specifically require a CC certificate before a product launch. Brightsight is accredited to perform CC evaluations up to the highest evaluation assurance level of EAL7.
