Delft, 28th of May 2019: Brightsight, the number one independent security lab in the world, is now a member of the Industrial Internet Consortium® (IIC™), the world’s leading organisation transforming business and society by accelerating the adoption of the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT). The mission of the Industrial Internet Consortium as a global, member-supported organisation is to promote the growth of the IIoT by coordinating ecosystem initiatives to securely connect, control and integrate assets and systems.

In the IIoT market, secure interoperability is key and most data is not in use today. The power of digitization in the physical world for industrial applications represents a major opportunity for all stakeholders. IIoT will play a crucial role in the next phase of factory automation, in areas such as improved equipment maintenance, health and safety, human productivity, and product optimization. Securing the ecosystem is essential for reaching these goals.

“By joining the Industrial Internet Consortium® (IIC™) we’re joining a thriving community of solution enablers for the IIoT market,” says Carlos Serratos, Business Development director of Brightsight. “IIC offers a platform for multiple stakeholders to support the industry together and accelerate the adoption of new technologies in a secure way. It’s strongly supported by the most important players in the industry and receives direct input from end users. We’re glad to be part of this important, innovative activity.”
