ioXt authorized lab logo

The ioXt Alliance is composed of key players in the Internet of Things (IoT) industry looking to build confidence in IoT products through multi-stakeholder, international, harmonized and standardized security and privacy requirements, product compliance programs, and public transparency of those requirements and programs.

As an ioXt Alliance Authorized Lab, SGS Brightsight performs all testing required for IoT devices to be certified by the Alliance to bear the ioXt SmartCert seal (certification) of security. SGS Brightsight collaborates with ioXt members to set baseline security requirements and build a safer IoT world.

Certification program

The ioXt certification program, a global standard for IoT security, is an industry-led, global IoT device security and certification program. The ioXt SmartCert seal gives consumers and retailers greater confidence in a highly connected world.

IoT device manufacturers can obtain a formal certification of the ioXt global standard through the ioXt Certification Program after a security evaluation completed by SGS Brightsight. SGS Brightsight will test an IoT device against each of the eight ioXt principles with clear guidelines for quantifying the appropriate level of security needed for a specific device. Once approved, the ioXt SmartCert informs end users, retailers and ecosystem partners that a device is secure.

Benefits of getting ioXt certified
