Brightsight expands IoT certification services with PSA Certified Certification Body designation

29.05.2026 11:53 AM
Brightsight Certification Body (Brightsight CB) can now deliver PSA Certified certification in-house, enabling IoT manufacturers to combine PSA Certified and SESIP certification through a single coordinated process. This allows customers to streamline certification activities, reduce complexity, and improve time and cost efficiency when bringing secure connected products to market.

This designation, granted on May 26, 2026, confirms that Brightsight CB is authorized to perform certification activities in accordance with the PSA Certified scheme requirements, operating as an independent Certification Body.

What is PSA Certified?

PSA Certified is a globally recognized security certification scheme for IoT devices, operated by GlobalPlatform, designed to help manufacturers demonstrate the security of connected products through independently validated assurance levels. Widely adopted across the IoT ecosystem, the scheme supports organizations in building trust, meeting cybersecurity requirements, and facilitating market access for connected products.

Brightsight CB supports all PSA Certified levels (Levels 1, 2, 3 and 4), enabling customers to address different security assurance needs across the lifecycle of connected products.

What does Brightsight CB’s PSA Certified designation mean for IoT manufacturers?

This achievement enables Brightsight CB to now perform PSA Certified certifications in-house, supporting IoT device manufacturers and developers throughout a more streamlined certification process.

For organizations pursuing both PSA Certified and SESIP certification, this creates a more efficient pathway by allowing both certifications to be coordinated under one roof. As a result, customers can reduce complexity, improve project efficiency, and accelerate the path to market for secure connected products.

Simplifying IoT security certification

IoT developers often pursue both PSA Certified and SESIP certification for the same product, as each scheme addresses different but complementary security assurance needs. With Brightsight CB now able to provide both certifications in parallel through a single coordinated process, customers benefit from a more efficient certification pathway, reducing duplication of effort and simplifying project coordination. This helps organizations reduce complexity, streamline certification activities, and improve overall time and cost efficiency when bringing secure connected products to market.

Supporting global market access for IoT devices

The PSA Certified scheme is widely recognized within the IoT ecosystem, supporting manufacturers in demonstrating the security of their products and facilitating market access across regions.

By expanding its certification portfolio, Brightsight continues to invest in IoT and embedded security certification services, helping customers in navigating evolving cybersecurity requirements and targeting global market access through recognized security schemes.
