Delft, 10th of December 2019: Brightsight is proud to announce to be accredited by PCI as a qualified CPoC security evaluation lab. With this accreditation Brightsight is able to conduct PCI Contactless Payments on COTS (CPoC) security evaluations to current and new customers.
Last week the PCI Security Standards Council (PCI SSC) published this new CPoC standard, providing security and test requirements for payment solutions that enable EMV-based contactless payment acceptance on merchant mobile devices (such as smartphones and tablets) using near-field communication (NFC). This makes it possible to accept low-value payments on cost-effective solutions, which are expected to be attractive to micro and small merchants.
Brightsight is a PCI accredited security evaluation laboratory for the programs PTS, SPoC, CpoC and 3DS SDK. Dirk-Jan Out, CEO at Brightsight, says: "We are happy to expand our service portfolio to support our customers towards a successful PCI CPoC approval.
