Barcelona, 20 October 2020Brightsight Barcelona S.L. has been accredited by Centro Criptológico National (CCN), Spain’s national Common Criteria scheme. Brightsight is proud to announce that we are now able to perform Common Criteria IT security product evaluations under CCN as well.

Following the successful completion of a pilot project at the level of EAL2+ to retrieve the accreditation, Brightsight is now entitled to perform CC evaluations up to the highest level of EAL7. Being a fully equipped hardware and software lab, this is especially relevant for Brightsight's CC evaluations in the smart card domain.

"We are proud to extend our portfolio of Common Criteria certifications with this accreditation by the Spanish certification body”, says Xavier Vilarrubla, General Manager Brightsight Barcelona. “Like Brightsight customers elsewhere in the world, our customers based in Spain can now call on the support of a trusted, reliable and recognised laboratory to get their IT security products efficiently evaluated and certified."

Common Criteria

Common Criteria (ISO/IEC 15408) (CC) is the most widely recognised and comprehensive IT security standard in the world. It can be used to certify any IT system or device providing security functions. More than 25 countries participate in the mutual recognition of CC certification. Besides CCN in Spain, Brightsight is also a CC-recognised lab in the Netherlands (NSCIB), Norway (SERTIT), Singapore (CSA) and Turkey (TSE).
