Delft, 22 October 2020. Brightsight congratulates PAX Computer Technology (Shenzhen) on achieving its first PCI SPoC approval for their iOS based PAX SealGuard solution. Brightsight is proud to be selected as the security lab for performing the software-based PCI SPoC security evaluation of the innovative payment solution of PAX.
The PCI program 'Software-based PIN Entry on COTS' (SPoC), also known in the market as PIN on Mobile, enables merchants to accept EMV-based transactions with the option of PIN entry on COTS (Commercial off-the-shelf) devices as smartphones and tablets. Both contact and contactless card initiated transactions are supported in PCI SPoC transactions. It is the first PCI SPoC approval issued for PAX.
