13th of August 2020. We are proud to announce that the world's first PCI PTS version 6.x was approved after a security evaluation completed by Brightsight. We performed the evaluation for PAX Computer Technology (Shenzhen) Co Ltd on their device named 10935 PAX A910.

Pin Transaction Security (PTS) devices enable merchants to capture payment card data and validate approval for a transaction. The Payment Card Industry (PCI) Security Standards Council validated the conformity of the PTS device with the PCI PTS standard. The completed security evaluation for PAX is a unique achievement, as it is the first version 6.x PCI PTS approval worldwide. The PCI PTS Point of Interaction (POI) version 6 was released in June 2020.

Alex Dong, VP at PAX, said:“ We’re delighted to see PAX A910 received the first 6.x PCI PTS approval, like always, we put lots of efforts into R&D to ensure our payment system is secure and innovative. Thanks to our trusted partner Brightsight’s expertise and hard work in completing the highest standards of security evaluation in such a quick period.”

"Brightsight is proud to have accomplished this together with leading global manufacturer of payment terminals PAX Technology. Due to excellent teamwork, we managed to evaluate the innovative PAX A910 device under the latest PCI PTS requirements and achieve the very first v6.x approval worldwide," says Wim Seinen, Senior Vice President of Systems at Brightsight.
